Ngizwe Mchunu: Heritage Month Festival to Go Ahead Despite Cancellation Reports
DURBAN, KwaZulu-Natal — Media personality and traditional music promoter Ngizwe Mchunu says his Heritage Month celebration festival in Inanda, Durban, will go ahead as planned tomorrow, despite reports claiming that the event has been cancelled.
Mchunu has dismissed the cancellation claims, saying preparations for the festival are continuing.
He says organisers remain focused on ensuring that the event proceeds as scheduled and has urged members of the public to rely on information from the organisers regarding the festival.
The event, planned as part of Heritage Month celebrations, is expected to bring together members of the community and celebrate South African culture and heritage.
Mchunu’s comments come after reports circulated suggesting that the festival would no longer take place. He maintains that there has been no cancellation and that preparations are continuing ahead of tomorrow’s event.
Further details about the programme and arrangements are expected from the organisers.
