BREAKING NEWS: Mbalula and Malema Clash in Explosive Public War of Words
A heated political confrontation has erupted between ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula and EFF President Julius Malema following remarks over the country’s growing debate on illegal immigration.
During a media briefing, Mbalula accused Malema of contributing to the current tensions surrounding illegal immigration, claiming that the EFF leader’s past visits to restaurants and businesses to question the employment of undocumented foreign nationals helped fuel the national conversation.
Malema strongly denied the allegations, calling Mbalula’s claims false and misleading. He demanded that the ANC Secretary-General retract his remarks, insisting that the EFF has consistently supported the enforcement of immigration and labour laws while opposing xenophobia and discrimination based on nationality.
The dispute soon spilled onto social media, where Mbalula dismissed Malema as a “small boy.” Malema fired back with a personal insult, escalating the exchange into a highly public political feud.
The latest clash highlights the deepening tensions between the ANC and the EFF, whose leaders have repeatedly locked horns over key national issues including governance, corruption, land reform, coalition politics, and immigration. As the war of words continues, the confrontation is expected to further intensify the political debate ahead of future electoral contests.
