Livhuwani Madadzhe Seeks R4.6 Million From Government
JOHANNESBURG — Livhuwani Madadzhe, who was detained from 14 November 2025 until 21 January 2026, has appointed a new lawyer to assist with legal action against the government.
Madadzhe is reportedly seeking R4.6 million in compensation, claiming that the period spent in detention caused him loss and hardship.
The newly appointed lawyer is expected to pursue the matter through the courts and seek compensation from the government.
The legal action is expected to examine the circumstances surrounding Madadzhe’s detention and whether there are grounds for a claim against the state.
The matter remains subject to the legal process, and any final decision on the R4.6 million claim will be determined through the courts.
