UPDATE: DA deploys former ActionSA mayoral candidate as PR councillor in KwaDukuza
The Democratic Alliance (DA) has deployed Halalisani Ndlovu to fill a vacant proportional representation (PR) councillor position in the KwaDukuza Municipality.
Ndlovu recently left ActionSA, where he had been the party’s mayoral candidate in KwaDukuza, before joining the DA.
His move to the DA comes after his previous involvement in ActionSA’s campaign in the same municipality, where he contested the mayoral position on behalf of the party.
Ndlovu’s appointment means he will now take up a seat in the KwaDukuza council under the DA banner.
The development marks a notable political shift in the municipality, with Ndlovu moving from being an ActionSA mayoral candidate to serving as a DA councillor.
Further details on the circumstances surrounding his departure from ActionSA and his deployment by the DA have not been confirmed.
