Former Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula demanded to be treated with respect while testifying in her corruption and money-laundering trial at the Pretoria High Court.
During her testimony, Mapisa-Nqakula raised concerns about the conduct of a junior attorney on the defence team, accusing the lawyer of behaving unprofessionally and disrespectfully towards her.
The former minister’s comments came as she continued giving evidence in the case, in which she faces allegations of corruption and money laundering. She has denied the charges against her.
