Regan Collis Remanded in Custody After Boksburg Court Appearance Over Reiger Park Shootings
BOKSBURG, Gauteng — 12 August 2026 — Twenty-three-year-old alleged gangster Regan Collis has been remanded in custody following his first appearance at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday in connection with a deadly drive-by shooting in Reiger Park over the weekend.
Collis faces 13 charges, including four counts of murder, five counts of attempted murder, two counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances and two charges under the Firearms Control Act relating to the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
The murder charges relate to the targeted killings of two SAPS Anti-Gang Unit members, Constable Thapelo Tlomatsana, 29, and Constable Siphiwe Sibeko, 28, as well as two civilian women, Jaydin Magerman and Rolene Lessing.
A multi-disciplinary operation led by the Hawks resulted in the recovery of the slain officers’ stolen R5 rifles at the KwaDukathole Informal Settlement in Germiston.
Authorities said Collis was already out on bail at the time of his arrest in connection with several pending cases, including two separate murder charges and two counts of attempted murder.
The court postponed the matter to 25 August 2026, when Collis is expected to make a formal bail application. He will remain in custody until then.
Police have indicated that the investigation remains ongoing and that further arrests are expected as investigators work to uncover the broader gang network allegedly linked to the shootings.
The charges against Collis remain allegations until proven in court.
