SOUTH AFRICA — Misuzulu kaZwelithini and Ndamase Ndamase are set to travel to Zimbabwe this weekend for a high-profile meeting with Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The royal engagement comes at a time when immigration has become one of South Africa’s most debated issues, with growing public concern over undocumented migration, border security, and the social and economic pressures associated with migration.
The visit is expected to strengthen diplomatic and cultural ties between South Africa and Zimbabwe while promoting dialogue on matters of mutual interest affecting both countries. Although the official agenda has not been fully disclosed, the engagement is seen as an opportunity to reinforce regional cooperation and encourage closer collaboration between traditional leadership and government.
The meeting also takes place as calls continue from various communities and organisations for stronger border management and effective immigration policies, making the visit particularly significant in the current regional climate.
Further details on the outcomes of the meeting are expected following the royal engagement.
