NEWS: March and March Leader Jacinta Mangobese Zuma Calls for Continued Community Action Against Crime and Illegal Activities

SOUTH AFRICA — March and March leader Jacinta Mangobese Zuma has called on communities to make their fight against crime a continuous effort, saying that the movement should not only organise marches but also take practical steps to help rebuild the country.
Speaking about future marches, Zuma said the gatherings should be held regularly and should involve communities working together with law enforcement agencies. She encouraged residents to come together and visit police stations, where they can engage with police officers and raise concerns affecting their communities.
She further called for communities to work with authorities to identify companies allegedly employing undocumented foreign nationals and to report places suspected of being linked to drug dealing activities.
Zuma urged citizens to take responsibility for keeping their communities safe, saying people should use the March and March movement as a platform to protect and clean up their neighbourhoods.
She said the movement’s current focus includes addressing concerns involving Nigerian and Pakistani nationals, claiming that some individuals involved in criminal activities are not South African citizens.
Zuma emphasised that the goal of the movement is to encourage community participation and action in dealing with issues affecting the country.
