Pretoria, 30 June 2026 — Many businesses in the Bosman precinct of Pretoria Central remained closed on Tuesday morning as a precautionary measure ahead of a planned anti-immigration march through the city.
The normally bustling streets of Bosman were noticeably quieter than usual, with several shops keeping their doors shut while others operated with limited staff. A heavy law enforcement presence was visible throughout the area as police and metro officers monitored the situation and implemented traffic control measures to manage the expected crowds.
Road users experienced disruptions as authorities introduced temporary road closures and traffic diversions to ensure public safety and allow the march to proceed under close supervision. Commuters were advised to use alternative routes and expect delays in and around Pretoria Central.
