BREAKING NEWS: March and March Ends Working Relationship with Ngizwe Mchunu
The anti-illegal immigration movement March and March has announced that it has ended its working relationship with activist and former radio presenter Ngizwe Mchunu pending further investigations into allegations of attempts to destabilise the organisation.
In a statement issued on Monday, the movement said an internal governance and legal compliance investigation uncovered evidence of alleged efforts by political figures and business cartels to influence and undermine the organisation. The allegations include claims of an offer and acceptance of gratification in exchange for influencing the movement’s activities.
Following consultations with stakeholders and consideration of the investigation’s findings, the organisation resolved to suspend its association with Mchunu while the matter remains under investigation.
The decision comes about a month after the movement’s nationwide anti-illegal immigration march held on 30 June. March and March said it remains committed to its campaign and will continue working only with individuals it considers trustworthy.
The allegations have not been proven in court, and investigations are ongoing.
