Major General Feroz Khan Shot in Houghton, Rushed to Hospital in Critical Condition
Johannesburg – Major General Feroz Khan was shot late on Monday night in Houghton, Johannesburg, and was rushed to hospital in critical condition.
The shooting occurred at approximately 23:00 while Khan was driving along Third Avenue. According to preliminary information, gunmen travelling in a white Mercedes-Benz approached his vehicle before opening fire.
It is believed that two shots were fired during the attack. Police investigators who responded to the scene recovered 9mm cartridge casings as part of their investigation.
Emergency medical personnel transported Khan to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing emergency surgery.
The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and authorities are expected to investigate all possible leads. No arrests have been announced, and police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
