TMPD considers suspension of Peter Nonyane
The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) has launched an internal investigation into officer Peter Nonyane following his arrest on fraud and money laundering charges.
Nonyane remains employed by the TMPD while the criminal case and internal investigation are underway.
According to the department’s spokesperson, TMPD may soon serve Nonyane with a notice asking him to explain why he should not be suspended.
The department says it is committed to maintaining discipline and integrity among its members and will take appropriate action based on the outcome of the investigation.
Nonyane remains innocent until proven guilty.
